A potential new year’s resolution

Ok, so this year will be the first time in years that I have made a resolution.

But I am even going to one-up myself by makig more than one resolution.
A year is a pretty long time so I figure making more small resolutions will acomplish more than a big one.

…or I’m just talking out of my lazy ass.

1. Save money:
In these troubled economic times (drink)… Just kidding, but I really do have to start saving.

2. Play music daily or at least regularly:
This one can’t really start until I actually move into our new house, but it’s worth a shot. I would really like to get better at guitar, but I know that I actually need to practice trumpet now-a-days to keep my reading and omboucher (not even going to try to get that spelling right) good enough to blow through some easy ska/jazzy/solo stuff.

3. Art classes:
…exactly as the title implies. In order to get some personal projects off the ground I need to level up my drawing/illustration skills (Haha! See what I did thar?).

4. 1280×900:
Sorry, I know it’s not funny at all but it has to be done.

5. Update this more often:
I really don’t know what I wan to do with this blog yet so until then, you better get used to my rambling.

Sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes, I’m really tired and I’m updating from my iPhone. In fact, I have a feeling that I will be updatig exclusively from my iPhone.

That’s it for my new years resolutions,
– Sam

I think I have a problem…

Still here!

Just letting the blogosphere knowvthat I’m not dead. No one cares but I said it anyway, so there.

By the way, I will be doing most of my posting fromy iPhone so don’t expect great, epic posts. Cool?

The Power of Post Compels You!

Here is another “So what am I up to now?” post:

What am I up to? Not a whole lot apparently. As I said on the podcast this week, I’ve been playing a lot of Cooking Mama 2. Why? Because I really enjoyed the first one.

I guess it’s just one of those fun little games that draws you in with its cuteness and quick-playability. What I mean is, unlike and RPG, I can just pick up CM2 and play for as short or as long as I want to and even if I put it down for a few months I can pick it right back up.

My problem with RPGs and adventure games is that I play them for a few months, get a little over halfway through, put them down for a few weeks and forget where I left off and what I was doing. That’s the reason the only RPGs I’ve actually beaten are Zelda: Link’s Awakening, a few Pokémon games, FFVIII (with a little help from my brother tell me where I left off and what I had to do) and the first Golden Sun.

In other news:

DAMN YOU YOUTUBE! DAMN YOU!

You’re the reason I’m going to bed late tonight just clicking on related videos.

You’re the reason I discovered Torchwood!

You’re the reason… Awww… Come back. I can’t stay mad at you. /hug

What I’m Downloading Now

Blah blah downloading is bad blah blah blah blah it’s stealing blah blah blah blah blah piracy blah blah blah blah it’s not like I can go get the DVDs now blah blah blah blah I own it and I’m just too lazy to rip and convert it to .mp4 blah blah blah yep.

I’m redownloading the first 3 seasons of Stargate Atlantis and a few Monty Python movies (I own them!) because I accidently deleted them… I thought syncing my music wouldn;t make my videos sync automatically. Boooo!

And for some reason, I was searching something on alluc.org and “Torchwood – Anything Goes” came up and I was like, “What’s this? This isn’t what I searched for… I wonder if this is ‘Anything Goes’ as in the musical.” *click* and a little Wikipedia search later, it looks pretty cool. So a quick trip to Piratebay and BAM!

From the land of WTF!

When my Reboot converted to .mp4, they came out flipped all wierd, as shown in this fine diagram. Yeah, and I may or may not have deleted the originals before I noticed… *cough* So I’m downloading that too.

Podcasts!

I love ‘em. They’re a great way to learn something and to be entertained. There’s ‘casts for anything! it’s really quite cool. I learned Warcraft lore from podcasts and I’m sure if I really tried, I could learn something more useful, like improving my French or learning Latin… Ok bad example, but yes, learning Latin does exist on iTunes. There are knitting podcasts, wine podcasts, history of [insert country here] podcasts, celebrity gossip podcasts… I’m sure if you looked hard enough you could find a podcast that “rule 34s” things weekly!

That just occured to me today because I went ahead and subscribed to EVEN MORE! podcasts last night. Yippie! I subscribed to Major Spoilers. It’s about comics and stuff… Stuff that I don’t really know that much about.

So here’s a rundown of what I’m listening to/watching:

Because Scott reminded me…

Ok, so I’m on Skype with Scott and he says, “So, have you actually posted anything on your blog?”  “Oh yeah! I have one of those! I’ll go do that now,” I replied.

HAZZAH!

So, Scott, here is a blog post:

I got a 20″ Dell monitor for my birthday from Andrew (SQUEEEEE!!! <3) and bunch of sweet vinyl figures from my dad (Pics to come).

In other news, I’ve figured out what mic I will be using for the ‘cast. It’s nowhere near as good as a “real” mic, but it’ll do.

That’s it, folks… /wave

Oh joy…

Just joining Scotty on this thing.

Yay.

BLARGH!!!

I have a three exclamation mark limit.
